Correct a submitted session
Fix data on a session you already submitted, in the web app, when your clinic allows it and until your BCBA completes the session.
Sometimes you notice a mistake only after you submit: a wrong trial, a missing behavior record, a photo on the wrong target. If your clinic allows it, you can still correct your own submitted session in the web app until your BCBA completes it. You do not need to ask the BCBA to change it for you.
Before you start
- Your org owner decides whether aides can correct submitted sessions. It is off unless your clinic turned it on.
- You can correct only sessions assigned to you, only in the web app, and only while they are Submitted. A Completed session is locked.
- The mobile app always shows a submitted session as read-only.
When the setting is on, the web app tells you so as you submit: After submitting, you can still correct this session's data on the web until your BCBA completes it. Submit now?
Correct the session
Open the session in the web app from My Sessions, or from the Sessions tab of the learner's page. Nothing on the page says the session can still be edited: you see the same controls as while it was in progress.
- To add data, select Collect Data and choose Target, Behavior or Reward. You can also select + on the Data, Behavior Records or Session Rewards card.
- To fix a run, select Edit Data on the target's card, or delete it with the bin. For a target with several runs, open the list of runs first and select Edit Run with the number of the run you need. See Correct my data during a session.
- To fix a behavior record, select edit or delete on it.
- Add, change or delete target notes, and attach or delete photos and videos. You can delete only media you attached.
- Delete a reward delivery that was logged by mistake.
Each change shows a confirmation message and the card reloads.
What happens next
- Your corrections are saved on the session straight away, and they count toward the learner's progress on each target.
- The session summary written at submit does not update itself. Tell your BCBA if a correction matters for the summary: they can regenerate it.
- Once your BCBA completes the session, or your clinic completes it automatically after a set number of days, the controls disappear the next time you open the page. If a change fails with This session is no longer in progress, so data can't be saved., reload the page: the session was completed or the setting was turned off.
