BCBA guides

What BCBAs do in ABACare, mostly in the web app, and where to find the guide for each task.

Applies toBCBA

As a BCBA, you design and steer each learner's treatment. Almost all of your work happens in the ABACare web app: you check your dashboard for what needs a decision, build and maintain treatment plans, decide how each target is measured, generalized, maintained and mastered, schedule sessions, and review and complete the sessions your aides submit. You also supervise your aides, partly in the mobile app, and review what parents log at home. You keep each learner's record and care team up to date, follow their authorized hours, draw on the treatment library, and write progress reports from the AI drafts ABACare prepares. ABACare turns the data your aides collect into suggestions, charts and reports that you review. You see the learners your clinic has assigned to you.

A treatment plan in the web app.

Dashboard

Start the day here: what is waiting for you, and what ABACare has told you about.

Treatment plans

Create a learner's plan, fill it from the library, from your own goals or from an existing document, and keep it up to date.

Target configuration

Decide how each target is measured and when it is mastered, move it through its phases, and review what ABACare suggests.

Scheduling

Plan your learners' sessions on the calendar, one at a time or as a recurring series, and keep the schedule up to date.

Running sessions

Run a session with a learner yourself and complete it without a separate review step. The aide guides for session notes, past sessions and worksheets apply to you too.

Session review

Check what your aides submit, fix what needs fixing, and decide what parents see.

Supervision

Plan supervisions of your aides, run them with a checklist, and record what you observe.

Parent data review

See what parents record at home, give them feedback, and add behaviors they report to the plan.

Learners

Keep each learner's record up to date: profile, diagnoses and documents, the aides and parents connected to them, and whether they are active.

Authorizations

Record the hours payers approve and see in time when they are running out.

Library

Look through the treatment library and your clinic's own, and suggest content for your clinic's library.

Progress reports

Turn a period of data into a signed progress report, starting from a draft ABACare writes with AI.

Analytics and reports

Chart a whole plan's progress, and lay a learner's targets side by side over a period.

Aide guides that apply to you

You can run a session and collect data yourself, in the web app, the same way your aides do. The BCBA section also lists those aide guides, under running sessions, data collection and behaviors and rewards. Good places to start:
